Our client is actively seeking an experienced Engineer to join their team and focus on the design development and certification of aerospace firmware. Ideal candidates will have a background in aerospace engineering specifically knowledge of flight control systems and remote sensing applications. Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proficient in hardware description languages such as Verilog or VHDL.
- Proven experience in algorithm development data structure design and software testing methodologies.
- Handson experience with boardlevel testing troubleshooting and the integration of hardware/software systems.
- Familiarity with FPGA development tools and simulation techniques.
- You have demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Candidates must be eligible to obtain a national security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Software engineering skills particularly in Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Experience with crosscompiling for different hardware targets.
- Knowledge in capturing and validating system requirements.
- Understanding of military standard processor cores and the implementation of DSP algorithms in microcontrollers and FPGAs.
- Experience with aerospace industrystandard interfaces such as ARINC429 and MILSTD1553.
Security Clearance:
- Eligibility to access classified information is a requirement; therefore U.S. Citizenship may be necessary.
