Production Manager

As the Production Manager at Detection Technology Finland (DTF) Manufacturing Oulu you will play a key role in leading planning and developing production overseeing a team of approximately 20 highly skilled and motivated production operators supporting engineers as well as logistics personnel.

Your role

Your primary objectives include ensuring the fulfilment of DTs strategy and operational plans for manufacturing in Finland maintaining customer commitments achieving daily and weekly KPI targets fostering continuous improvement and generating long and shortterm development ideas. You will be responsible for effectively communicating the realization of these objectives to people management and other defined stakeholders.

In addition to managing people you will oversee the equipment and facilities of DT in Oulu including the cleanroom productionrelated equipment as well as our designated portion of leased facilities. This involves creating and implementing maintenance schedules establishing controls with chosen third parties or assigned personnel and developing processes to effectively address and improve maintenance and facilityrelated challenges.

Moreover you will lead and develop the EMEA and Americas DT Group logistics in collaboration with logistics personnel and selected thirdparty companies. Your role will include active participation in leading and enhancing DTs Global Operations working closely with other members of the Operations Lead Group and reporting directly to the VP of Operations & Quality. You will also get to contribute to the development and improvement of DTs global Demand and Supply Planning processes.

What we expect

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing hightech manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge or experience of Lean and Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP) development.
• Strong educational background preferably in Industrial Engineering or Electronics.
• Experience in managing global logistics challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Finnish.
• Strong conflict resolution skills with strong demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others.
• Proficient in team facilitation time management and organisational skills.
• Proven track record of innovating and implementing improved systems and practices.
• Flexibility to travel

What is considered as a plus:

• Experience working in a multicultural EuropeanAsian work environment.
• Experience utilizing AI and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience in implementing and/or developing IT and software tools.
