Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA - Corrections

• Assists physicians and nurses to meet health care needs of patients.
  
• Takes vital signs height and weight.
  
• Draws blood.
  
• Measures and records intake and output.
  
• Assists with patient treatments such as dressing changes decubitus ulcer and tracheostomy care.
  
• Schedules appointments
  
• Adheres to safety and security policies and participates in disaster drills.
  
• Follows security regulations for keys sharp and controlled medications.
  
• Other duties as assigned by management.
  
• Follows standard precautions using PPE as required.
  
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
  
• Ability to respond in emergency situations.
  
• Provide care in a nonjudgmental nondiscriminatory manner that is sensitive to the patient s and family s diversity preserving their autonomy dignity and rights.
  
• Serve and protect the facility by adhering to professional standards policies and procedures; federal state and local requirements.
  

Requirements

• Current CNA License certification with the Maryland State Board of Nursing
  
• At least 12 years of CNA experience
  
• Must have corrections experience experience working in substance abuse preferred. Position has escalated compliance position is for the Opioid treatment program
  
• Active CPR/BLS certification
  
• Physical vaccination status and PPD/chest xray
  
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
  
• Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements
