Business Intelligence AnalystResponsibilities:
- Implement, improve, and maintain Looker for Business Intelligence across the client's portfolio of brands.
- Partner and consult with business and analytics teams to provide guidance, support, and assistance in creating and streamlining Looker reports.
- Utilize Snowflake in a 3rd Party application (Daasity) to develop and optimize Looker reports.
- Develop and lead training sessions to communicate best practices and educate the greater team on Looker reporting.
- Inspire and encourage people to adopt and innovate Looker reporting through expertise and enthusiasm.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and design effective Looker solutions.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of Looker reports, making necessary improvements and optimizations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, features, and best practices in Looker and Business Intelligence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors related to Looker reports and data integration.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all Looker reports and dashboards.
- Document Looker development processes, best practices, and user guides for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in defining and implementing data governance policies and procedures for Looker reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, data engineering, and product management, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of Looker with other systems and processes.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and automate Looker reporting processes to improve efficiency and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Must have 5+ years of experience implementing and managing BI platforms for business intelligence, data applications, and embedded analytics.
- Experience with Looker, a cloud-based business intelligence (BI) platform that explores and analyzes data.
- Must have 2 years of experience in developing LOOKML, Looker Dashboards, and Look-Linked Tiles.
- Must have strong expertise in SQL, preferably across multiple dialects
- Experience with Looker Explores to query data, validate data accuracy, identify error sources, and control content access for security.
- Experience in Data visualizations, Scheduling, and sharing Looks and dashboards, Table calculations, Looker expressions, Custom and advanced filters, and Impacts of pivoting.
- Strong analytical skills
- Capable of solving complex problems and creating visualizations to speak to business operators to empower better decision-making
- Report writing and presentation skills
- Project management experience, specifically managing deadlines and resource allocation
- Ability to be collaborative and work across multiple teams
- Strong oral and written communication skills (English)
