Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Psychiatric

Location: National City California

Hourly Pay Rate: $56/hr (Negotiable)

Shift: 07:0007:00

Position Type: 3 Months Contract Position

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our psychiatric team in National City California for a 3month contract position. This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $56/hr (negotiable) and provides an opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a dynamic and supportive environment. As an RN in the psychiatric unit you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care and support to patients with mental health disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients mental health status.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.
• Monitor patients progress and response to treatment and adjust care plans as needed.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Adhere to hospital policies procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Strong assessment and therapeutic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
