Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Electrophysiology to join our healthcare team in Anchorage Alaska. As an RN specializing in Electrophysiology you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures for cardiac arrhythmias and other cardiac conditions.

Requirements:

  • Assist in the preparation setup and execution of Electrophysiology (EP) studies ablations and device implantation procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to assess patient needs plan individualized care and coordinate treatment interventions.
  • Monitor patients cardiac rhythms vital signs and hemodynamic parameters during EP procedures promptly identifying and responding to any deviations from baseline.
  • Administer conscious sedation and other medications as prescribed ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
  • Operate specialized equipment such as cardiac mapping systems ablation generators and intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) catheters under the guidance of electrophysiologists.
  • Provide patient education regarding cardiac conditions treatment options postprocedure care and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments procedural details and postprocedure recovery in electronic medical records.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the safety efficiency and effectiveness of EP services within the healthcare facility.
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards hospital policies and infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including nurses technologists and support staff to deliver seamless and coordinated care across the continuum.

Expectations:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alaska.
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in cardiac nursing with specific experience in Electrophysiology preferred
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and familiarity with EP study protocols and equipment.
  • Strong critical thinking problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Strong critical thinking assessment and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations maintaining composure during emergent or complex procedures.
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts including days evenings weekends and oncall as required.
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuing education in the field of Electrophysiology nursing.
