Accessibility testing Skills:
- Relevant Experience 4 Years minimum
- Understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines such as Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in using accessibility testing tools such as screen readers (e.g. JAWS NVDA) browser extensions (e.g. Axe WAVE) and automated testing tools (e.g. Accessibility Insights Tenon) to identify accessibility issues in web and mobile applications.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies used by people with disabilities including screen readers magnifiers voice recognition software and alternative input devices to assess how users interact with digital products.
- Knowledge of frontend technologies such as HTML CSS and JavaScript to understand how web pages are structured and styled and to implement accessibility features such as semantic markup keyboard navigation and ARIA attributes.
- Ability to perform manual and automated accessibility testing using various methodologies including manual inspection automated scans and user testing with assistive technologies and real users with disabilities.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to identify accessibility barriers and propose effective solutions to address them considering both technical feasibility and user experience considerations.
- Keen attention to detail to identify subtle accessibility issues that may impact users with disabilities such as missing alternative text for images inadequate color contrast or inaccessible form controls.
- Commitment to staying updated on the latest trends techniques and tools in accessibility testing through selfstudy attending conferences participating in webinars and obtaining relevant certifications (e.g. IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies).
