Roles and Responsibility

  I am responsible for setting up and supporting the automated build environment and automated testing environment within our inhouse development studio. My role involves handling tasks related to project quality that should be resolved through engineering thereby assisting in title development. This includes communication with other departments researching relevant technologies and collecting organizing and disseminating technical information.

  Specific responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and supporting automated build and testing environments for target applications primarily using Jenkins as the foundation.
  • Ensuring seamless integration with version control tools issue tracking systems and various preexisting or inhouse tools and systems.
  • Investigating technical information related to automated build and testing environments in the context of game development and addressing associated issues.

  • A bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of version control tools such as Git Subversion or Perforce.
  • Experience in setting up CI environments using Jenkins.
  • Experience using issue tracking systems like Redmine or JIRA.
  • Basic knowledge of setting up and maintaining development environments on Windows OS.
  • Fundamental knowledge of network environments.
  • Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language among C# Python Java C or Ruby.
  • Knowledge and experience in game development.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting the development team with technical skills related to quality engineering.
