Travel Occupational Therapist

Join our healthcare client a rehabilitation facility providing postacute care located in Antioch CA:

• 8 OR 13 week contracts
• Schedule: Sunday Thursday OR Tuesday Saturday

Job Description:

• Develop and implement treatment plans approved by referring physicians.
• Administer treatment according to physicians plan.
• Train Restorative Aides in collaboration with the nursing department.
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in direct patient care adhering to state practice act.
• Communicate patient progress issues and plans with the healthcare team.
• Participate in Patient Care Conferences Utilization Review meetings and Rehabilitation Conferences as required.
• Conduct inservice training for facility staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act and regulatory requirements.
• Provide discharge planning and education for patients and their families.
• Recommend and facilitate the procurement of necessary durable medical equipment for patient mobility.
• Ensure department equipment is wellmaintained.

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy License.
