Senior Accountant

Evac has been a pioneer in sustainable technologies and solutions for decades. Today we are the worlds leading provider of integrated Evac water waste and wastewater technologies Cathelco corrosion protection and marine growth prevention and HEM freshwater systems.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team supporting our operations in Germany and Norway. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting financial reporting compliance and comprehensive bookkeeping duties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:

• Oversee and manage the financial accounting processes for Evac Groups operations in Germany and Norway.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.

2. Compliance and Taxation:

• Stay abreast of changes in German and Norwegian tax regulations ensuring compliance and minimizing tax liabilities.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to optimize the companys tax position in each country.

3. Bookkeeping:

• Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for transactions in Germany and Norway.
• Perform daytoday bookkeeping duties including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger entries.

4. Audit and Internal Controls:

• Coordinate and support internal and external audits providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information.

5. Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis to support decisionmaking processes and identify areas for operational improvement.
• Collaborate with business units to develop financial forecasts and budgets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA CPA) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant preferably in an international context.
• Indepth knowledge of German and Norwegian accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
