Job Title:Mechanical Site Engineer
Job Location: Lekki Lagos.
Job Overview: Our client a dynamic conglomerate renowned for its expertise in Real Estate and other industriesis looking for a qualified Mechanical Site Engineer to oversee mechanical systems in construction projects. The Mechanical Site Engineer will be responsible for designing installing and maintaining HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for construction projects encompassing Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) plumbing and fire protection systems ensuring they align with project requirements and standards.
- Develop comprehensive mechanical design plans and specifications based on project requirements considering factors such as building layout occupancy energy efficiency and safety regulations.
- Collaborate closely with architects engineers and contractors to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with the overall project design coordinating effectively to address any design conflicts or challenges.
- Oversee the installation testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems providing guidance and supervision to ensure proper installation and functionality according to design plans and specifications.
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues that arise during construction offering technical guidance and innovative solutions to overcome challenges and maintain project progress.
- Ensure compliance with mechanical codes standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle adhering to industry best practices and safety protocols to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of occupants.
- Conduct thorough inspections and quality assurance checks of mechanical installations to verify compliance with design plans specifications and standards maintaining high levels of quality and reliability.
- Collaborate with project teams to optimize the performance and efficiency of mechanical systems leveraging expertise to enhance functionality energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering preferably in construction projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
- Experience with HVAC plumbing and fire protection design and installation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Requirements The requirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge, Skill and/or ability required to perform this job satisfactorily: Minimum of a HND/ BSC in Estate Management or Similar discipline 10 years minimum experience in a similar position in a reputable organization Must be able to demonstrate your experience of managing property and projects The candidate should be confident, a self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment Must be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision-making, and a hands on approach Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and leadership skills
