Job Title: Power Electronics HW Engineer

Location: East Syracuse New York onsite

Job Description:

Required skills:

• Power electronics knowledge inverter converter VFD etc
• Knowledge of IGBT SIC FET GaAn FET etc
• Knowledge of Hardware in Loop testing
• Experience with power distribution and conversion type of circuitry and wiring included experience with battery systems transformers inverters contactors and the likes.
• High voltage / wattage testing and integration
• VFD integration filters etc
• VFD trouble shooting and debugging
• Proficient in electromechanical design
• Work with electrical schematics
• Basic understanding of electrical analysis electrical protection power consumption
• Experience with wiring connectors harnessing
• Selfdirected and highly motivated
• Possess analytical thinking troubleshooting and problemsolving skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience in power supplies batteries power converters
• Controller I/O understanding/experience
• Familiarity with HVAC&R equipment and systems
• Experience in new product design and qualification
• Proficient in modern experimental methods instrumentation and measurement systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to function in a global team environment

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the equipment software electronic hardware validation/reliability and manufacturing fields
• Design and implement electrical/mechanical systems for container refrigeration units
• Design and implement required experimental facilities: plan and supervise experiments and data acquisition
• Plan and conduct experiments in the lab and using modeling tools
• Create refine and clarify requirements with internal and external customers
• Strong technical background to interpret engineering concept scope while timesensitive to project deadlines.
• Selfmotivated problem solver to system design challenges.
• 5 years of new product design of components and assemblies for manufacturing with a strong background in the electrical engineering field.
• Strong communicational skills with proven ability to interact with a crossfunctional team of engineering design and manufacturing
• BA/BS in electrical/mechanical engineering with 57 years of related experience
• MA/MS in electrical/mechanical engineering with 35 years of related experience
