General Ledger Accountant - Fugro

Job Description

Ensures integrity of the accounting of transactions in the general ledger in line with all aspects of compliance and relevant responsibilities in the Finance Shared Service Center process model as well as the Interal Control Framework. Acts as key point of contact to the business regarding overall accounting and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals prepayments and adjustments. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Assist in the preparation of budgets forecasts and financial reports for management review. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decisionmaking purposes. Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors. Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities to ensure timely processing and collections. Assist in developing and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks. Collaborate with other departments to resolve accountingrelated issues and improve processes. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices. Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Senior Management.
