Job Description

Gentis Solutions is seeking a Help Desk Coordinator for a direct hire full-time position with one of our clients. The ideal candidate will be able to apply their knowledge with Microsoft office, MFA, VPN, CRM, Sharefile, SharePoint, VOIP phones, printers, bar code printers, scanners, pcs, and other hardware. Requirements

  • Associates Degree or IT Certification
  • Two years help desk, customer service or other support position
  • Experience in analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving user incidents
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and question skills
  • Experience with setup and troubleshooting computer software and hardware, including mobile devices, VOIP phones and printers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software
  • Experience with any other hosted or local software setup, use and maintenance is helpful
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, MFA, Active Directory and Azure is helpful
  • The employee must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs and walk for long distances throughout the building

Typical Duties

    • Some evening and weekend hours may be required
    • Under general direction, receives, prioritizes, and logs user problems and issues; establishes and maintains Help Desk software system; composes and logs problems resolutions
    • Escalates problems/issues to appropriate IT personnel
    • Monitor issues to identify trends that need to be resolved
    • Ability to collaborate with the IT team but able to complete tasks independently
    • Perform service/maintenance calls for equipment
    • Setup new pcs; manage pc inventory
    • Perform employee onboarding and offboarding steps
    • Purchase equipment and peripherals
    • Install unique hardware and software based on user needs
    • Discover and provide software usage questions
    • Communicate and work with users of all levels of skills
    • The employee is required to lift, move, and set up equipment
    • The employee is required to follow procedures
    • Performs other related duties as required
