Job Description: Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching Humanities Subjects to Secondary grade levels. Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment. Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers counsellors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems. Attend professional development workshops and educational conferences in order to maintain and improve professional competence. Establish and enforce rules for class management and student behaviour. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress. CONTRACT DETAILS: Required Qualifications: • Bachelor Degree in Humanities or HISTORY or Geography or Travel & Tourism or Global Perspectives from a recognized University in the UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA (UK preferred for British Curriculum) • TEACHING LICENSE FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA (Due to Visa Restrictions) • Must have excellent English Communication Skills and able to pass IELTS at level 7 • Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues Required Experience: • Minimum 3 years teaching experience at Secondary grade levels • Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment Monthly Salary Range: TAX FREE Monthly Salary range from QAR 11,000 to 13,000 depending on qualifications and experience Housing: • FREE Furnished 1-2 bedroom accommodation or Housing Allowance according to marital status • Transportation provided from School Accommodation to School daily • Utilities paid at QAR 300 for Singles and QAR 500 for Married Health Insurance Coverage: Medical insurance is provided for employee and one dependent Annual Air Fare: Annual Cash Air Fare for employee and 1 dependent (spouse or child) equivalent to economy ticket price back to home country Annual Leave: In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per country Labour law. Minimum 30 work days per year Dependent School Fees: 100% Discount for one dependent attending same school as employee Visa and Medical Check Fees: Fees for Residency Visa will be paid for employees only.
