About the Company and Role:

PressOne Africa is the simplest way for entrepreneurs to get a phone number for their business. We offer a phone system that helps any business see all phone calls across their sales and support team. Founded in 2021 were a fastgrowing startup based in Lagos and a Techstars portfolio company.

In this dynamic role youll be the voice of PressOne Africa on social media. Your mission is to build an active and engaged community of entrepreneurs founders and small business owners on Facebook and LinkedIn. Were seeking a social media enthusiast with a passion for fostering conversations and connecting with our target audience.

To Carry Out Your Role

• Develop and execute a social media strategy to boost engagement and community growth.
  
• Create captivating content (text images short videos) that resonates with business owners and sparks discussion.
  
• Actively engage with followers respond to comments and foster a sense of community around our brand.
  
• Track and analyze social media metrics using insights to refine your approach and demonstrate the impact of your efforts.
  
• Collaborate with the Content team to repurpose website content (blog posts etc.) for social media.
  

The Ideal Candidate

• Passionate about social media and building online communities (minimum 3 year of experience in social media management or related role).
  
• Excellent writer with the ability to craft compelling social copy for different platforms.
  
• Strong understanding of Facebook and LinkedIn both their algorithms and how to spark conversation with a professional audience.
  
• Datadriven mindset you love analysing metrics to drive strategy.
  
• A creative thinker who can come up with outofthebox ideas to increase engagement.
  

Your Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Develop a social content calendar including a mix of original posts curated content and engagementfocused prompts.
  
• Community Management: Actively engage with followers responding to questions and comments in a timely manner.
  
• Social Listening: Monitor social conversations about PressOne Africa entrepreneurship and related topics.
  
• Analytics & Reporting: Track key social media metrics (reach engagement clicks etc.) providing regular reports with insights.
  
• Trend Spotting: Stay uptodate on relevant social media trends and adjust strategies as needed.
  

Requirements

What You Should Have

• Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications or a related field (preferred).
  
• 3 years of proven experience managing social media for businesses (ideally in the B2B or tech space).
  
• Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools.
  
• Familiarity with basic design tools (e.g. Canva) is a plus.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
