This position is for a parttime phlebotomist located ONSITE in San Jose CA.
A copy of the license must be attached to the resume. License must be valid!
Phlebotomist (5 days per week approximately 4 hrs/day (20hrs/week) with availability for periodic full 1 week (2530hrs) coverage
Job Description:
- Under supervision of a Licensed Phlebotomist or Licensed Medical Doctor and according to internal standard operating procedures the associate will obtain specimens by venepuncture for the Associate Sample Collection Program (ASCP) perform documentation of daily draws utilizing required databases contact internal donors clarify internal collection requests maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications
- Valid phlebotomy license CPT1 or CPT2
- 1year lab experience/blood draw preferred
- Bachelors degree preferred in a scientific discipline a plus
- Proof of Hep communicate in English
- Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork communication skills
- Must have a drug test and background cleared before the worker begins the assignment.atitis B vaccination or titter
- Current certificate in adult basic life support (CPR)
- Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
- Experience and understanding of ethical and scientific quality standards for the design conduct recording and reporting of clinical research involving the participation of human subjects; including but not limited to compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Clinical Research Practice (GCP) to provide assurance that rights safety and wellbeing of research subjects are protected and respected
- Must be able to work on site in BD San Jose campus beginning at 8:00am
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively
- Strong time management and multitasking skills attention to detail
- Ability to learn and utilize required databases and various software packages
- Must effectively read write and verbally
