Cloud Application Architect

Role: Cloud Application Architect

Location: Huntsville TX (Hybrid; Huntsville TX may work remotely but would need capability to report to office with advanced notice)

Duration: 6 months Contract

Project Scope:

We are looking for a worker who is a selfstarter for a very large modernization effort moving from Clients legacy systems to Microsoft Power Platform. This worker will have a strong ability to identify gaps in systems and recommend a path to move forward. You will be required to provide documentation to support decisions.

Will work with teams as lead to map out data between legacy systems and future system and come to a conclusion if data has been identified for migration to future systems.

1. This will include understanding ownership between legacy systems and future system data.

2. Data that is not targeted would need defined process to continue in effective way for customer with the understanding of how to utilize legacy system data in conjunction with migrated system.

Position Requirements:

• Understanding of programming at an enterprise level and ability to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Database knowledge understand relationships data types data mapping.
• Strong ability to be selfstarter in documentation with ability to deliver to management for decisions and collaboration.
• Experience in Microsoft Power Platform.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for planning and engineering of an organizations cloud computing infrastructure and applications;
• Designs cloudbased hardware and software solutions. Expertise in standard concepts practices and procedures of cloud technologies.
• Demonstrates expertise in wide variety of Cloud models such as Software as Service (SaaS) Platform as Service (PaaS) or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
• Synthesizes architecture guidelines and strategies from a broad stakeholder set to transform logical models into physical architectures designs and implementations;
• Designing and addressing key architecture considerations for cloud systems;
• Resolving issues regarding technology components responsible for performing functional capabilities or determining how technologies will communicate when responsibility must be shared across technologies; and
• Publishing updating and ensuring that the architecture models meet business requirements and architecture standards.
• Practitioner of systems development processes and methodologies;
• Ability to lead and facilitate crossfunctional multiService Provider work teams;
• Familiarity with relational database technologies and capabilities;
• Knowledge of relevant industry group trends directions major issues regulatory considerations and trendsetters;
• Ability to justify project equipment or staffing expenditures by identifying cost benefits and associated risks;
• Special contextual knowledge of implementation designs and the cost modeling associate with developing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models.
• Ability to work with others in a constructive and collaborative manner;
• Ability to think critically; to recognize and anticipate a problem (technical operational process organizational) and to identify and implement the best solution in a timely manner;
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills;
• Knowledge and understanding of marketplace experience developments and trends related to the Information Technology function;
• Experience with scalability and performance issues related data bases.

Education and Experience:

• Undergraduate degree required with an information technology focus (preferred); and at least Ten (10) years of experience in technical roles in technically complex environments.
• Or an MBA or advanced degree and at least 8 years of experience in technical roles in technically complex environments.
• At least 2 years of experience as a technical cloud architect and/or technical cloud lead.
• Industry Certifications in an area of expertise preferred.
• Past governmental modernization experience preferred.
