Position Overview:
Examines and prepares histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and patient diagnosis.
Uses rapid tissue processing and frozen section technique to freeze cut mount and stain tissue specimen received from surgery biopsy and anatomical tissues upon preparation of sections of human or animal tissue for immediate examination. Operates computerized laboratory equipment to fix dehydrate and infiltrate with wax tissue specimens to be preserved for study by Pathologist.
Histotech covering routine embedding cutting staining special stains. IHC experience welcome.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
HT(ASCP) certification
Minimum Education:
AA from accredited HT program
Location (If remote list as so):
Duarte CA on site
