AZ - Surgical Technologist

This position requires rotational scheduling and oncall (night weekend and holiday) coverage upon successful completion of established didactic and clinical requirements required exams and the discretion of the OR SCN. Position requirements include performing basic duties of a surgical technologist. Assist with positioning surgical prepping and draping of the surgical patient. Responsibilities include setting up an operating room before surgery and ensuring all needed equipment and instrumentation is available and in working condition for the scheduled surgical procedure. Surgical specialties include: General Surgery Orthopedic Otolaryngology Ophthalmology Obstetrics and Gynecology Podiatry Urology etc. for adult and pediatric patients. Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required. Surgical Technologist certification preferred.*COVID 19 vaccination is MANDATORY and worker must be fully vaccinated 2 weeks prior to start date. Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation a JCAHO accredited health center provides services to a 4400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The hospital was constructed in 1975 with a bed capacity of 73. Services provided to the community include comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services dental and ophthalmology services orthopedics OB/GYN oral surgery eye surgery and urological procedures. The Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation is located in Northwestern Arizona on the land known as the Colorado Plateau. Shift: We work 10s currently.. Call is 1 to 2 shifts per week. Techs and Nurses selfschedule.
