Job Description:

As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) at Con Edison you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle databases to ensure optimal performance reliability and security. Your expertise in SQL development database design and Oracle utilities will be critical in supporting the organizations data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design install configure upgrade and administer Oracle databases to meet business requirements and performance objectives.
2. Develop and maintain stored procedures functions triggers and other database objects using advanced SQL in Oracle SQL Developer.
3. Perform database tuning optimization and capacity planning to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
4. Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity and minimize downtime.
5. Monitor database performance troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions to address performance bottlenecks.
6. Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that support application requirements.
7. Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data stored in the database.
8. Maintain documentation of database configurations procedures and standards.
9. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior DBAs and other team members.
10. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in database administration.

MustHave Skills:

• Minimum 7 years of experience creating stored procedures in SQL.
• Advanced SQL development skills using Oracle SQL Developer.
• Strong background in backend database administration.
• Proficiency in optimal Oracle database design principles.

Top Priority Skills:

• Experience with ArcGIS including ArcGIS Server and Portal.
• Familiarity with Oracle Utilities applications.
