Job Description:

As a Senior Business Analyst specializing in Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) and Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) you will play a pivotal role in analyzing business requirements defining solutions and supporting the implementation of ETRM/CTRM systems. Your expertise in the energy trading industry combined with technical skills and knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) will contribute to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough analysis of business processes requirements and workflows related to energy trading and commodity risk management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather document and prioritize business requirements for ETRM/CTRM systems.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications user stories and system design documents.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
• Utilize SQL and other technical tools to extract manipulate and analyze data for reporting and decisionmaking purposes.
• Apply knowledge of oil and derivatives trading to assess market trends pricing strategies and risk exposure.
• Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on ETRM/CTRM processes configurations and best practices.
• Participate in testing activities including test case development execution and validation of system functionality.
• Support endusers during system implementation training and postimplementation support phases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts within the organization.
• Familiarity with JIRA or DevOps tools is highly desirable for managing project tasks and workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in business Finance Engineering Mathematics or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on ETRM/CTRM systems.
• Strong understanding of energy trading concepts including oil and derivatives markets physical and financial trading hedging strategies and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Solid grasp of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Previous experience with JIRA or DevOps tools is a plus.
• Engineering or mathematical background is advantageous for analyzing complex trading algorithms and risk models.
