The Database Developer II is responsible for developing and supporting SQL Server database solutions within both the production and development environments.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Create troubleshoot and maintain stored procedures views triggers and functions.
2. Debug and modify SSIS packages and SSRS reports and design/configure reporting services using RS configuration manager.
3. Develop and support XML/XLS schemas.
4. Perform database/code migrations and track the requests within internal SharePoint workflows.
5. Develop sufficient knowledge of the current IT applications/technology such that solutions developed meet the divisions objectives.
6. Develop and enforce divisions IT application standards.
7. Special projects as assigned by management.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Intermediate level of selfsufficiency and initiative working on database projects.
2. Intermediate level analytical organizational documentation and communications skills.
3. Ability to work in a dynamic deadlineoriented environment.
4. Intermediate level of knowledge of .NET and legacy applications that interact with SQL.
5. Intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database development.
6. Intermediate level of knowledge managing multiple MS SQL Server databases on large systems.
7. Intermediate level of knowledge in monitoring and tuning databases.
8. Intermediate knowledge of TransactSQL and stored procedures.
9. Basic understanding of entity framework and team foundation server (TFS).
MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:
1. Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
2. 8 years of experience in developing windows and/or webbased SQL applications.
