The Area Manager is entrusted with the responsibility of driving team performance overseeing recruitment and development initiatives ensuring employee retention and optimizing efficiency within the assigned geography. They play a pivotal role in fostering a motivated and engaged team to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
- Manage the entire recruitment process for sales officers and Team Managers (TMs) from sourcing candidates to onboarding.
Training and Coaching:
- Conduct training sessions for new joiners in collaboration with the Learning & Development (L&D) team focusing on geography mapping source management and customer relationship skills.
- Provide coaching and ongoing support to new joiners and underperforming employees to enhance their performance and skillsets.
Geography Mapping:
- Allocate geography at all levels and provide training and coaching to TMs new joiners and underperforming employees on area mapping.
- Conduct audits and reviews of area mapping progress at regular intervals to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
Development of Underperforming Employees:
- Identify underperforming employees based on location benchmarks and areas of development.
- Match performance gaps with relevant interventions to facilitate employee improvement.
Reviews (Monthly/Weekly):
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of teams to assess performance identify gaps and set goals.
- Follow up on preset goals to track progress and provide necessary support to achieve targets.
Daily Huddle:
- Monitor the effectiveness of morning huddles and ensure their smooth conduct.
- Attend and conduct managerial huddles on a daily basis to facilitate communication and alignment of objectives.
Source Relationship Management:
- Manage relationships with all sources within the geographic area to foster strong partnerships and drive business growth.
Team Management:
- Maintain a culture of fairness openness happiness and transparency within the team.
- Provide accessibility and support to new joiners and underperforming employees.
- Ensure smooth interdepartmental functioning while adhering to established processes.
Channel Partner Recruitment:
- Verify documentation for channel partner recruitment and submit to the Area Sales Manager (ASM) for approval.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mortgage or home loan sales with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and relationship building.
- Sound knowledge of sales processes channel partner recruitment and geographic mapping strategies.
- Ability to conduct joint calls facilitate team huddles and drive performance reviews.
- Proficiency in coordinating with internal teams particularly credit departments to expedite loan processing.
