About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Project Lead to play a pivotal role in a strategic data analytics initiative. You will leverage your expertise in data architecture project management and business intelligence to deliver a comprehensive roadmap for expanding a data analytics platform.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all project activities including project kickoff stakeholder engagement data source analysis roadmap development and deliverable creation.
• Conduct a thorough review of existing data sources and infrastructure to identify opportunities for data ingestion and platform expansion.
• Develop robust prioritization criteria for data source incorporation and data subject selection considering business needs technical feasibility and strategic alignment.
• Create a multiyear roadmap with a phased approach for data source incorporation and data subject presentation including cost estimates benefits dependencies and risks.
• Manage project timelines budget and resources to ensure successful project completion within defined parameters.
• Prepare and deliver clear and concise presentations and reports to stakeholders.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues proactively.
• Ensure adherence to all project documentation standards and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

• 14 years of experience in IT
• Minimum 7 years of experience in business intelligence data warehousing or a related field.
• Proven experience in leading and managing data architecture projects.
• Strong understanding of data management best practices and technologies (e.g. data modelling data quality).
• Experience with cloudbased data platforms (a plus).
• Previous public sector/federal agency experience is a value ad
• Experience working with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data requirements.
• Excellent project management skills including experience with project planning scheduling budgeting and risk management.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Australian Citizen or Australia Permanent Residency holder
• Canberra work location with hybrid working model
