Mechanical Design Engineer - Gothenburg

Description: Design Engineer Oil system

The person will be a part of Oil and Retarder systems within Driveline Powertrain Engineering.
The oil system consists of several different components both purchased and inhouse designed parts. You will have frequent contacts with our own plants and our suppliers.
It grasps a broad technical area as you will deal with parts made from e.g. high pressure aluminum steel plates and plastics.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Be part of the oil system team support and leading own tasks cross functionally and interact with different stakeholders such as suppliers purchasing aftermarket etc.
3D modeling and drawing preparation for the components.
Ensuring the design by general quality tools (e.g. FMEA tolerance stackup )

Qualifications and personal skills
You have a M.Sc. degree or equivalent experience.
3 5 years experience required within research and development preferably within automotive and transmission development/oil system and architecture.
Fluent in English both written and spoken.
You have good skills/experience to use Creo and preferable in the Volvo systems such as Kola PDMlink etc.
Strong technical skills
