Job summary:

EveryMatrix is looking for a seasoned Senior Site Reliability Engineer with expertise in automating packaging and deploying enterprise applications under Kubernetes in a hybrid environment spanning Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and onpremise infrastructure. In this senior role your skills will contribute significantly to ensuring the scalability reliability and efficiency of our applications running on Kubernetes. As an integral part of our SRE team you will be actively involved in team leadership nurturing talent and shaping our SRE teams direction.

Responsibilities:

Lead in developing and maintaining Docker container images and Kubernetes deployment configurations tailored for hybrid environments.

Spearhead initiatives to design packages to be deployed seamlessly across multiple datacenters supporting activeactive models for enhanced resilience and availability.

Oversee troubleshooting and resolution of complex application deployment issues in diverse environments.

Implement CI/CD pipelines preferably with GitLab for automated seamless deployment across diverse environments.

Ensure adherence to best security practices in packaging and deploying applications.

Collaborate with and mentor team members to optimize Kubernetes deployment practices in hybrid environments.

Lead initiatives to grow the capability and size of the team in line with business growth.

Requirements:

Extensive experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.

Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization technologies in hybrid environments.

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash Python for automation tasks.

Experience with CI/CD tools in hybrid setups especially GitLab.

Understanding of networking concepts and environments particularly GCP and onpremise infrastructures.

Proven leadership skills and ability to guide and mentor team members.

Exceptional problemsolving skills with the ability to operate in a fastpaced hybrid environment.

Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to team management.

Nice to have:

Experience using Windows Server and Kubernetes on Windows platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA CKAD) or related technologies.

Knowledge of microservices architecture and design patterns.

Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices in hybrid cloud setups.
