Middle Frontend Engineer

EveryMatrix is seeking a skilled Middle Frontend Engineer for our Frontend department in Bucharest.

Project description:

You are part of the EMFE department. Working on the group level EveryMatrix FrontEnd (short EMFE) is the department that manages everything related to the frontend: from banners or logos to a fully functional cuttingedge online casino. We are composed of 6 teams: Bespoke Team Business Team QA Team Operational Team Products team and Widgets team.

This position is open inside the Widgets team. We use a wide array of technologies and we love to stay on the bleeding edge. Your primary focus will be on developing our notification transport system product using NodeJS for backend services and React for the frontend interface.

Your expertise in JavaScript will be vital to ensure seamless serverclient communication. You will also work on other frontend products for example Widgets reusable webcomponents (microfrontends) designed to perform a specific function and our singlepage application working with Angular Stencil and Svelte. These are exciting products (especially for us and hopefully for you) and were looking for people who are ready to face a challenge analyze existing functionality and transform and adapt it into something great using the latest stack of Web technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Code quality Adhere to the internal coding standards and guides promote clean code practices and actively participate in teaching more junior colleagues to adhere through code reviews and feedback.
• Code review Actively involved in code review. Making sure that all internal and industry coding standards are followed and that the submitter understands completely not only what to adapt but why the changes made are required.
• Refactoring Identify opportunities for refactoring and improving the codebases scalability stability and performance.
• Scalability stability and performance You implement improvements and can offer solutions/ alternatives on how to develop the code to further improve scalability of the project.
• Code documentation Ensure all code is documented adhering to our coding standards and documentation practices. Maintain uptodate documentation and comments within the codebase. Operational You can handle incidents according to the defined SLAs and project processes (the complexity refers to system/platform complexity technical solution complexity or business knowledge).
• Communication You contribute to best practices knowledge sharing and application within the project. You know how to share knowledge in many forms: feedback presentations recommendations of books and articles recommendations of events lessons learned etc.

Requirements:

• At least three years of previous experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Proven experience with REST web services and/or web APIs.
• NodeJs experience.
• Database experience.
• Full understanding of all stages of software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of OOP and Data Access/ Management.
• Knowledge about design patterns optimization techniques and best practices.
• Good English both written and spoken.
• Passion for learning and perfecting skills.
• Love working in a team and sharing ideas.
• Ability to understand technical architecture.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Open to giving and receiving feedback.
• Selfsufficient Nice to have.
• Experience using performance profiling tools and using different performance improvement techniques.
• NestJs ReactJs Redis Kafka.
• Docker knowledge.
• Unix experience.
• Ability to work in a Kanban system with fast switching priorities
• Adapt to a fastchanging environment / to be able to provide solutions for improved workflow.
