- Carries out well site duties including monitoring drilling of all development wells determining casing, logging and coring points for safe drilling and completion.
- Works in multidisciplinary teams to develop static and dynamic models for characterization, development planning and field production optimization.
- Carries out detailed geological studies on ail producing reservoirs.
- Generates cross-sections and maps for determining oil & gas in-place volumes.
- Meets, describes and preserves cores at well site and coordinates core and special core analysis. In-house and through contractors.
- Coordinates with Petroleum Engineering periodic water sampling program of all producing oil reservoirs to diagnose aquifer mobility.
- Assess the possibility of drilling step-out locations to test reservoirs extension outside the proven limits of the field.
- Assist in building a relational geological database in the development section.
- Ensures all personnel in the section are working safely and follow applicable safety regulations.

Education:
B.Sc. or Geology
Experience:
10-15 years of experience in log interpretation, reservoir characterization and well-
site practice
Skills:
- Good knowledge in geostatistical methods.
- Knowledge and experience in geosciences applications including Reservoir Modelling Systems (Petrel, Gocad) and windows software’s.
Strong ability to express work results in English both orally and in written communication
