Deputy General Manager for Legal Department
A Graduate or Post Graduate in Law and Enrolled as an advocate with
Bar Council
Remuneration As applicable to Scale VI officer (under new pay structure)
Experience and Eligibility
Persons having work experience in a Bank or Financial Institution for
minimum 15 years in Legal Department.
Preferably AGM and above cadre in Public / Private Sector scheduled
commercial banks or Equivalent Cadre in NBFC/Financial
Institutions with exceptional experience in Legal Department.
Sound knowledge of Civil Criminal Cyber Law IBC Company law
and Banking laws
Others
No vigilance case or adverse observation from RBI/Statutory Authority
shall be pending against the candidate identified for appointment as the
DGM Legal Department.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. To represent the bank in the legal matters and to provide legal opinion.
2. To provide legal opinions in the matters referred by Regional Offices and other Departments.
3. To head the Legal Department and provide guidance to the team in legal vetting of agreements MOUs Followup of Civil Criminal suits
4. Mandatory reporting to regulatory authorities
5. Periodical review of Policies related to Legal matters
6. Periodical update of all new enactments/Laws/Judgments etc.
7. Interpret Legal policies guidelines as issued by appropriate authorities and
disseminate information to all relevant departments.
8. Formulate Internal compliance procedures and guidelines to make sure they satisfy all the demands of local state and central government laws.
9. Prepare legal/compliance/administrative reports as required and forward them to appropriate authorities
10.Capacity to convey and appraise proper legal solutions observing extant guidelines of the Regulators and Bank
