Job Description
- Keeping hotel financial records in order
- Processes invoices, transactions, room charges, refunds, and prepares checkout bills
- Monitors and checks accounting ledger
- Verifying that all accounts are balanced and supported by documentation
- Audits financial statement accounts such as receivables and revenues
- Posts room taxes and charges
- Processes discounts and vouchers
- Tracks room availability and occupancy
- Prepares daily reports and summary cash balance
- Checking guests in and out of the hotel.
- Handling/Responding to guests' needs, requests, and complaints.
- Answering the phone and making reservations.
- Summarizing each night's operations, and listing any follow-up tasks for management.
- Following End of Day Procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping and front desk experience
- Opera System expert
- Proficient in MS Office, PMS, and CRM software
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or related field is a plus
- Past experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
- Analytical mind, with strong attention to detail and an affinity for numbers.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive work ethic.
- Strong aptitude for customer service.
