Job Description

Position: Family Solicitor Sheffield City Centre

Hours: Fulltime 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9 am 5 pm

Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a Family Solicitor with 05 PQE (or equivalent) to join our Family Department at a bustling high street firm in Sheffield City Centre.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Partner/Head of Department with an assorted caseload including Divorce Finances Separation Family Law Act proceedings Civil Partnerships Cohabitation Disputes Pre and PostNuptial Agreements Children Act work etc.
  • Manage your own caseload efficiently.


Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge and experience in Family Law matters and the Family Court system including familiarity with CAFCASS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent English language skills including grammar and spelling.
  • Desirable: Experience conducting Court Hearings independently.
  • Numerical aptitude.
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written essential for client interactions.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively within specified timeframes.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as autonomously.
  • Flexibility to work under pressure when necessary including potential adjustments to working hours.
