We are looking for inspirational and engaging English Teacher who shares their commitment and vision in providing an ambitious therapeutic personcentred learning environment for students.

Following the success and local demand for our services we are delighted to announce that we will be opening a secondary school located in Newbury West Berkshire in September 2024 you will join us within Amegreen Education which encompasses our Alternative Learning Farm provisions situated across rural West Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

Across our network of Alternative learning provisions Therapy Centre and Childrens homes our dedicated and experienced school staff work in collaboration with specialist teams of professionals to enable every young person to explore and develop their own unique talents. We enable possibilities and opportunities through our variety of services along with the stability of a school placement.

Tasks

The role:

  • Have proven experience in teaching English in a secondary department.
  • Have proven themselves as a good or outstanding secondary teacher with an excellent record of classroom practice.
  • Make a significant contribution to our drive to raise standards progress and attainment with an excellent understanding of assessment for learning.
  • Have high expectations of pupil behaviour and achievement as well as the ability to communicate this to others and demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Support the development of a curriculum through their own subject knowledge passion for teaching and relentless drive for securing the best academic achievements for our children.
  • Be a highly motivated individual with a commitment to providing high quality teaching and learning opportunities for our children.
  • Have a real desire to work as a team collaborate and develop professionally.
  • Be prepared to go the extra mile for our children and families.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and understand the importance of keeping all our children safe.
