As the Primary SENCo you will:
- Be at the forefront of designing implementing and evaluating effective strategies to support the learning and development of children with special educational needs.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to create inclusive learning environments and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of our students.
- Develop and oversee personalized support plans ensuring they are tailored to each childs unique strengths and challenges.
- Foster strong partnerships with parents and guardians providing regular updates on their childs progress and offering guidance on how they can support their childs learning at home.
- Provide ongoing training and support for staff to enhance their understanding of special educational needs fostering a culture of inclusivity within the school community.
- Regularly assess the impact of SEN provision collecting and analysing data to make informed decisions and continuously improve support services.
Requirements for this SENCo Role:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant SENCo qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience working with students with special educational needs or disabilities in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of SEN legislation policies and best practices.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire colleagues in fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
