Job Description

Description.


The IT Support Officer will be responsible for the daytoday support of business IT and managing assets and peripheral equipment.


The role will involve ordering issuing and controlling equipment as well as assisting staff with initial log on procedures and support through fault reporting processes.

This role is a parttime position onsite at RAF Leeming. Hours will be circa 25 hours per week nominally spanning three days.


Core activities.


Day to day support to users and the company in relation to IT accounts and assets.

Order collection issue and control of IT assets and peripheral equipment.

Configure IT assets to meet company requirements.

Log user faults and assist with progression and resolution.

Respond to work requests in line with Customer SLA s.

Support the planning and prioritisation on a range of Information Management & Technology activities.

Support fault investigation tasks.

Assist in the continuous improvement of Systems and Services.

Technical understanding of system administration & knowledge of database architecture and supporting application layers.

Support to users in maintaining IT security in line with company policies.


Key accountabilities.

Performance indicators Ensure the effective provision of IT support activities by meeting delivery targets and reporting any impact on Operations. Understand how individual actions contribute to overall delivery performance.

Completion of activities Ensure all IT support is appropriately documented and records are maintained on relevant systems (IT / paper based). Compile required reporting identify any issues and escalate as appropriate.

Procedure/standards Comply with the Part 145 Exposition and its associated procedures and standards and any other Company procedures and standards as applicable. Identify and propose changes as required.

Safety Management System Ensure Human Factors and Error Management philosophies are applied to all IT support activities. Understand the risks associated with IT and the means by which they are mitigated and managed.

Management System Assurance Ensure IT support is compliant with the AM&S Governance and Assurance framework including supporting Process Confirmations and independent assurance audits. Support the response to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provide information to support the relevant reviews. Support the implementation of identified improvements to overcome any noncompliance and monitor effectiveness.

Statutory / Regulatory & Legislative requirements Able to demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding and application of the relevant Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory framework. Support the implementation of any Regulatorydriven changes into IT activities. Ensure compliance with all other requirements e.g. ITIL GDPR ITAR EaPW ISO etc.

Contractual Requirements Ensure compliance with applicable contractual requirements e.g. through support to contract reviews and the incorporation of required changes into IT processes.

Requires understanding of Information Management & Technology systems and the principles and approaches that influence their performance.

Requires a depth of understanding knowledge and experience relevant to IT support functions.

Understanding of the importance of customer service skills in relation to IT support.

Possess an understanding of ITIL frameworks.
