Estate Maintenance Groundsman

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance/Groundsman to join our team at an upscale estate located in Port Washington NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and landscaping with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to maintaining the property.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep and functionality of the estates buildings grounds and amenities.
   
2. Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify any maintenance issues or safety hazards and address them in a timely manner.
   
3. Handle repairs and maintenance tasks such as plumbing electrical HVAC and carpentry work as needed.
   
4. Maintain the landscaping and grounds including mowing lawns trimming bushes planting flowers and maintaining irrigation systems.
   
5. Assist with snow removal and ice management during the winter months.
   
6. Operate and maintain equipment and machinery used in maintenance and landscaping activities.
   
7. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities equipment inventory and supplies.
   
8. Communicate effectively with estate management and other staff members to coordinate maintenance efforts and prioritize tasks.
   
9. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance duties.
   
10. Provide excellent customer service to estate residents and guests responding promptly to maintenance requests and addressing any concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
    

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of five years of experience in maintenance and/or landscaping roles preferably in a residential or estate setting.
   
2. Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices and techniques including plumbing electrical carpentry and landscaping.
   
3. Experience operating and maintaining maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers trimmers and power tools.
   
4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
   
5. Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
   
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents guests and colleagues.
   
7. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality work.
   
8. Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
   
9. Flexibility to work occasional weekends evenings and holidays as needed.
