Process Engineer
Client Location: Georgetown SC
Client Company Size: 100 employees

We are searching for an experienced Process Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of chemical manufacturing driving process improvements and contributing to the production of highperformance chemicals. Ideal candidates will bring a robust technical background a proactive approach to problemsolving and a strong ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:
  • 4 years of experience in a professional engineering role with a strong preference for experience in chemical manufacturing.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in managing Change of Control/Corrective and Preventative Action (MOC/CAPA) processes. Experienced in project management and crossdepartmental coordination.
  • Investigative Skills: Capable of conducting thorough investigations related to customer complaints offspec production equipment failures and process upsets.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Expertise in exothermic reactions vacuum dryers and powder handling/packaging operations.
  • Chemical Processes: Experience with batch polymerizations oligomerization reactions esterification and transesterification hydrolysis reactions.
  • Knowledge of distillation filtration (e.g. cloth filter presses belt filters) and drying processes (e.g. rotary and spray dryers).
  • Familiarity with ISO9001
  • Experience in writing or revising Standard Operating Procedures.

Essential Duties:
  • Process Optimization: Monitor and enhance the efficiency of chemical production processes. Address and resolve production challenges to improve continuous operations.
  • Data Analysis and Troubleshooting: Collect and analyze process data to identify root causes of productivity quality and equipment issues. Implement corrective actions based on analytical findings.
  • Quality Assurance: Correlate final product quality with production data employing tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC).
  • Project Management: Lead and manage process improvement projects ensuring effective coordination across multiple departments.
  • Yield Tracking: Oversee production yields and conduct mass balances to ensure optimal resource utilization.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is ideal.
