ChainPatrol is looking for a Business Development and Partnerships Lead to join our fastpaced startup and engineering team.

We need a BD Lead with a deep understanding and passion for building a highimpact company. This core team member will work alongside the cofounders as the first BD Hire in the company. This role will support and lead ChainPatrol in various aspects of daily operations and strategy.

The Ideal Candidate is a selfstarter able to take ownership of projects and will closely collaborate with our cofounders:

Job Summary

  • Type: FullTime (Were a Startup in Growth Mode)
  • Location: Remote
    • Hybrid In person 1 Day per week
      * While Founders are in Toronto
  • Number of positions: 1 Open Position
  • Compensation Package: Competitive with Industry
  • Salary Range: $90K CAD
  • Performance Bonus: $15K CAD
  • Employee Stock Option: 6Month Review

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Sales and Partnerships Lead to join our team. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities developing and maintaining strategic partnerships and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development sales and relationship management as well as a deep understanding of our industry and target market.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Lead the sales process from start to finish including identifying potential clients pitching our products and services and closing deals.
  2. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the industry.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute business development strategies and initiatives.
  5. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities and use this information to inform business development strategies.
  6. Represent the company at industry events and conferences and actively engage with potential clients and partners.
  7. Prepare and present regular reports on business development and sales activities and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  8. Participate in Business Development Meetings and Strategic Company Meetings

Example Projects

To give you a sense of the kinds of work were expecting you to be able to do weve listed some example projects that weve been wanting to work on:

  1. Build DeFi Sales Pipeline.
    1. Description: Collaborating with the cofounders to lead a project aimed at increasing the companys market share in specific verticals of crypto where the company is currently underperforming or has identified significant growth potential. This project would involve analyzing market data identifying key stakeholders and developing targeted sales strategies to increase the companys presence and sales in those regions.
    2. Sample Tasks
      1. Gather Data on the top 100 Defi Protocols
      2. Organize Data in CRM and ChainPatrol Sales Pipeline
      3. Create customized sales documents tailored to DeFi
      4. Collaborate with Founders to gather investor and network introductions
      5. Identify target Protocols that are present at conferences and form warm connections
      6. Cold outreach to any protocol where a warm intro is not formed
      7. Book demo calls with the Founders gather feedback and requirements from the customers
      8. Follow up with hot leads and close the contract.
  2. Launching a New Product Line:
    1. Collaborating with the cofounders to lead a project to introduce a new product line to the market. This project would involve coordinating with the product development and marketing teams to understand the features and benefits of the new products developing sales materials and training programs for the sales team and creating a sales strategy to effectively launch and promote the new products to customers.

What your Challenges will be

  • Scaling our ARR over $1 Million this year
  • Communicating with clients and gathering information about a projects scope budgets and timelines.
  • Perform prospecting activities such as cold calling and networking.
  • Solve problems for clients by understanding and exceeding their expectations
  • Maintain a database of clients prospects partners and vendors.
  • Stay current with company offerings and industry trends.
  • Oversee and achieve organizational goals while upholding best practices.
  • Illustrate the value of products and services to create growth opportunities; compile and analyze data to identify trends.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development sales and relationship management.
  3. Proven track record of driving sales growth and building strategic partnerships.
  4. Strong communication negotiation and presentation skills.
  5. Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  8. Knowledge of the industry and target market.

Secondary Qualifications

  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proficiency in AIbased research tools; ChatGPT etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Detailoriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Basic understanding of crypto space is preferred but not a hard requirement
  • Entrepreneurial spirit resourcefulness to learn new skills independently not afraid to take risks and learn from mistakes
