Job Description:

Orison Solutions is looking for a Network Engineer with DOCSIS experience for our national telecommunications client. This will be a longterm month contract. Our client is located out of Englewood CO and offers 2 days a week flex/remote work but candidates must be local as we frequently need to physically touch hardware inside of the lab. This person will help on the field support team resolving issues related to the technologies below. Priorities would be Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) experience DOCSIS PON and Network experience specifically in routing and switching.

Plans and implements enterprise networks and related hardware and software. Designs and documents network architecture. Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps. Establishes security (firewalls intrusion detection) connectivity and access parameters. Provides recommendations to optimize network infrastructure. Tests and tunes security devices and systems. Programs routers and switches. Implements communications technologies (data or voice). Manages network services from planning phase through implementation. Solid knowledge of routing protocols network hardware and software security technologies and network infrastructure is required.

5 10 years of experience.

Additional Skillsets being sought:

Advanced knowledge of the DOCSIS and EPON standards

Working knowledge of CMTS platforms including:

• Casa C100G
• Arris E6000
• Cisco cBR8
• RPHY
• Harmonic vCMTS and RPDs

Working knowledge of EPON platforms including:

• ADTRAN 95XX and SDX6210
• Vecima (Nokia) 7360 and Distributed Access Architecture SF4x SC2D3
• Working knowledge of switch platforms including:
• Cisco NCS/ASR
• Juniper PTX/QFX/ACX

Working knowledge of routing protocols including:

• OSPF
• ISIS
• BGP
• v4/v6 Multicast

Ability to write technical documentation

Ability to write and follow detailed technical test plans
