Job Description
Our client a world leader in Pharmaceuticals & In vitro diagnostics (IVD) is looking for an "Engineering Technician I".
Job Type: Longterm Contract (Possibility Of Further Extension)
Location: San Jose CA

Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering experiments by following instructions and perform visual inspections
- Process and test wafers and parts using defined procedures
- Operate testing instrument and inspection equipment (optical microscope
- SEM etc) and interpret results
- Review Statistical Process Control charts for process quality and react to Out of
- Control conditions including defect troubleshooting
- Recover from process and tool interruptions
- Use standard software applications and specific programs creating reports and
- documenting procedures
- Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool
- availability cycle time utilization and cost
- Complete all required reporting and documentation
Skills & Experience:
- High School Degree (or equivalent) with 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with wafer manufacturing and assembly of complex electromechanical devices preferably for a microfluidic biological labonachip purpose a plus
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor
