Our client is a leading FMCG company in GCC looking to hire the Senior Sales Manager Modern Trade for Bahrain. Its a national role which will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and profitability through effective management of the modern trade channel. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans to expand market share build strong relationships with key accounts and drive revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the modern trade sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to drive business growth in the modern trade channel
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities trends and threats in the modern trade segment
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement promotional activities and trade marketing initiatives
- Negotiate and manage agreements with key modern trade accounts to ensure strategic partnerships and maximize sales opportunities
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key modern trade customers and stakeholders
- Provide regular sales forecasts reports and insights to the senior management team
- Stay updated with industry trends competitor activities and market developments
- Continuously coach and develop the sales team to enhance their skills and capabilities
- Ensure compliance with pricing promotional and trade terms and conditions
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives
- Participate in the development of annual budgets sales plans and business reviews
- Represent the company at industry events trade shows and customer meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Sales Marketing or related field
- Proven 7 years of experience in modern trade sales management preferably in the Food & Beverages industry.
- Strong Arabic language spoken & written skills.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth in the modern trade channel
- Strong negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills with key accounts and stakeholders
- Excellent understanding of market analysis sales forecasting and budgeting
- Ability to lead and develop highperforming sales teams
- Exceptional communication presentation and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using CRM systems Microsoft Office Suite and sales analytics tools
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales strategies and plans
- Strong business acumen and understanding of retail and modern trade dynamics
- Ability to travel as required to meet with key accounts and participate in industry events
- Relevant certifications in sales management or related fields will be an advantage
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and competitive environment
