EHS Engineer will be responsible for providing support to the project management team, Engineers, foremen and workers. This position will provide leadership and coordination of the day-to-day safety requirements of the assigned project.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Implements all EHS aspects as per Company policy, Client approved LPP, contractual and legal requirements related to the project.
- Assist in the coaching, mentoring and implementation of the EHS programs in the field.
- Regularly audit the EHS management plan for compliance and update to ensure the alignment with project scope and conditions.
- Organize and schedule required safety staff and first aid coverage.
- Participate and assist the Engineers, foreman and EHS officers in the investigation of incidents to determine root cause, and corrective actions where necessary.
- Adopts zero risk policy in all fields of activities.
- Reports immediately any safety violation directly to the TSM Manager.
- Meeting and presenting to client EHS documentation for approval.
- Review EHS obligations of the clients and ensure they are carried out as per the terms of the agreement, and communicated to the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Administrator, Foreman and EHS Officers.
- Coordinate a regular meeting with project EHS team to review issues, trends and upcoming conditions or events.
- Ensure certification of scaffolders, scaffolding Engineers and inspectors.
- Promotes motivation activities to increase Environment, Health and Safety awareness and excellence at site.
- Communicate to Sub-contractors, the company EHS System and ensure its implementation.
- Implement cost efficient techniques for periodic and systematic evaluation of EHS system & hazard control program effectiveness.
- Ensure availability of Emergency Response plan and its effectiveness.
- Exceptional ability to maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, co-workers and assigned third party members.
- Coordination and Delivery of EHS Training (General and Job Specific).
- Prepare EHS objectives, targets and management programs.
