Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer II where you will spearhead process improvements implement product development (PD) strategies and utilize Visual Business Systems (VBS) tools to drive longterm sustainable enhancements in operations. You will play a critical role in impacting our core operations metrics: Safety Quality Delivery and Cost.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project work to enhance production operations using Lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S SMED Standard Work and Variation Reduction.
  • Facilitate new product introductions with design for manufacturability reviews efficient layout planning cell setup and comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams and management to meet daily operational goals and advance our Safety Quality Delivery and Cost objectives.
  • Identify costsaving opportunities perform detailed analyses and implement costreduction strategies.
  • Engage in troubleshooting conduct failure analysis and lead root cause investigations to drive corrective actions.
  • Develop and optimize programming for key manufacturing equipment including robotic welders turrets and press brakes.
  • Act as a VBS Champion promoting and leading Lean initiatives across the plant.

First Six Months Deliverables:

  • Achieve full immersion into our processes and culture.
  • Successfully execute a Kaizen event and participate in ProblemSolving Processes (PSP).


Requirements

Who You Are:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Preferably with a background in sheet metal design/manufacturing. Familiarity with manufacturing automation is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office and CAD tools like SolidWorks; experience in CNC programming and robotic welding.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational planning negotiation and communication skills. You should have a strong sense of urgency and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Personal Attributes: Known for your tenacity honesty and integrity. You balance tactical and strategic thinking and are focused on results. Leadership and teamwork are your strengths and you excel in building cohesive teams.
