DevOps Engineer at HEAL Security (remote)

Position Summary:

Now HEAL Security is seeking a skilled individual to build and deploy automation tools and pipelines for software development. Responsibilities include monitoring system health resolving technical issues and implementing security measures. The role offers opportunities for professional development in a dynamic industry.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Build and implement tools and pipelines to automate software development and deployment processes.

  • Monitor system health identifying and resolving technical issues related to development and deployment.

  • Implement security best practices to ensure the infrastructure is protected from cyber threats.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Expertise in building infrastructure with IaC tools such as Terraform/Pulumi.

  • Expertise with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Expertise with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git

  • Excellent problemsolving debugging and analytical skills.

  • Familiarity with agile development processes and testdriven development.

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP DNS and routing protocols.

  • Interest in Cybersecurity is essential although experience in the field is not needed.

  • Selfmotivation accountability and excellent time management skills to work efficiently in a flexible and remotefirst environment.

  • An openminded approach to receiving and implementing security advice from our internal security experts to ensure software security.

  • Have worked in and enjoyed a remotefirst environment and understand the skills needed to be successful in one.

  • A teamoriented mindset valuing both winning and losing as a team while maintaining a healthy worklife balance.

  • Willingness and ability to travel for internal gatherings and teambuilding events on an (at most) quarterly basis.


Additional Skills (not required but will be a plus):

  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure).

  • Experience with backend software development.

  • Experience with distributed systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement IaC solutions to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.

  • Design build and implement CI/CD pipelines.

  • Monitor and optimize cloud performance and cost.

  • Implement and maintain security best practices.

  • Assist with disaster recovery planning and execution.

  • Write clean maintainable and reusable code.

  • Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with teammates.
