Job Description

Overview:

The role of a Radiologist MD/DNB/DMRD is crucial in the healthcare industry as they are responsible for interpreting medical images to diagnose and treat illnesses. They play a pivotal role in providing accurate and timely reports for patient care and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret diagnostic images including Xrays MRI scans and CT scans.
  • Utilize radiologic technology to perform and interpret medical imaging procedures.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports for medical diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive clinical analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards in radiologic procedures.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
  • Conduct and supervise the use of radioactive materials for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
  • Stay updated with advancements in radiologic technology and diagnostic imaging techniques.
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and their families addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and reports.
  • Handle and prioritize a high caseload efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Follow best practices and protocols to ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior radiology staff and residents.
  • Contribute to research and academic pursuits in the field of radiology.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD/DNB/DMRD in Radiology or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice as a Radiologist in the location of employment.
  • Proven experience in diagnostic imaging and medical interpretation.
  • Expertise in radiologic technology and proficiency in operating imaging equipment.
  • Indepth knowledge of clinical analysis and interpretation of medical images.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a high caseload while maintaining accuracy.
  • Thorough understanding and adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Continuous learning and staying updated with advancements in radiologic technology and imaging techniques.
  • Commitment to patient care empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
  • Leadership qualities and the willingness to mentor and train junior staff and residents.
  • Research experience and a passion for contributing to the academic field of radiology.
