Job Description
- Localization Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute a comprehensive localization strategy that aligns with business goals and market requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the localization engineering team, mentoring junior engineers, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Localization Integration: Lead the integration of localization workflows and processes into the software development lifecycle, working closely with software developers, testers, and localization specialists.
- Internationalization Support: Advise development teams on internationalization best practices, ensuring that software is designed and developed with localization in mind from the early stages.
- Localization Tools and Automation: Evaluate, implement, and optimize localization tools, technologies, and automation solutions to streamline localization processes, increase efficiency, and improve the quality of localized content.
- File Preparation and Extraction: Oversee the preparation of software files for localization, ensuring the proper extraction of translatable content and maintaining formatting and structure standards.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with localization teams to perform linguistic and functional testing of localized content, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and cultural compliance.
- Bug Fixing and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex localization-related bugs and issues, working closely with development teams to implement fixes and ensure smooth localization deployment.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in localization engineering, driving innovation and process optimization.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, guidelines, and best practices for localization engineering processes and tools.
