About the Role
As Head of MFL you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and driving the success of the Modern Foreign Languages department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing visionary leadership and strategic direction for the MFL department.
- Overseeing the development implementation and delivery of a stimulating and rigorous MFL curriculum across all key stages (KS3 KS4 and KS5).
- Inspiring motivating and leading a team of talented MFL teachers fostering a collaborative and dynamic learning environment.
- Championing the importance of MFL education within the school community and advocating for its integration into the broader curriculum.
- Managing departmental resources effectively ensuring optimal utilization of funds and equipment.
- Monitoring and evaluating student progress implementing strategies to raise attainment and achievement.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with parents and guardians keeping them informed of their childs progress in MFL.
About You
- You possess a relevant degree in a Modern Foreign Language and hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- You boast extensive experience teaching MFL across different key stages with a proven track record of success in raising student achievement.
- You are a passionate and inspiring leader with excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- You demonstrate a strong commitment to professional development and possess the ability to motivate and lead a team of teachers.
- You are enthusiastic about creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment for students of all abilities.
