Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer & Facilities

Location: Chennai India

Job Type: FullTime

Department: Engineering & Facilities Management

Reporting to: Facilities Manager/Head of Engineering

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Chennai. This role is essential to ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing maintenance strategies repairs and improvements across various systems and infrastructure.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of systems and equipment including HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with building management systems and equipment.
  • Manage emergency maintenance as required ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life span of facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Document all maintenance procedures and repairs maintaining clear and comprehensive records.
  • Assist in budget preparation for maintenance expenses and capital projects.
  • Provide technical advice and support to the facility management team.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and practices in facilities management.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical or Civil preferred).
  • Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role ideally in a facilities management context.
  • Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC electrical plumbing).
  • Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
