Job Description:
- We are seeking a proactive and detailoriented individual to join our team as a PartTime Laboratory Logistics Coordinator or Intern.
- This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our laboratorys logistics processes.
- The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all aspects of laboratory operations and management including sample shipments and inventory management supporting and initiating process improvements.
- Lead the logistics of sample shipments including creating shipment manifests and documentation.
- Monitor shipment tracking and flag any issues or delays.
- Assist in coordinating the procurement of supplies for shipments including shipping boxes freezer boxes labels etc.
- Assist with receiving and unpacking incoming packages ensuring proper inventory management and documentation.
- Support inventory management by updating inventory trackers and completing inventory documents.
- Assist in aliquoting reagents based on shipment requirements.
- Support the transportation of cold pack and dry ice shipments ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Biology Chemistry Logistics).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in Smartsheet is preferred.
- Handson experience in laboratory logistics and operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with inventory management systems/software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
