Radiation Therapist

**This is a full time position and requires relocation to Gig Harbor WA**

Offering Relocation Assistance to the incredibly scenic Gig Harbor. Just a short drive to the water with boutique restaurants and stores it features affordable housing compared to Seattle (though its a short drive away). The area offers an abundance of beaches hiking trails and opportunities for nature activities. Additionally it boasts a rich maritime history featuring seventeen historic netsheds.

Job Overview:

Join our Radiation Oncology Center client who has been providing oncology services in Pierce County for nearly 40 years. They are independently owned and are established leaders in the delivery of compassionate leading edge oncology care.

Duties:

• Perform radiation therapy treatments using linear accelerators or other radiation equipment
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and treatment delivery
• Monitor and assess patient reactions to treatment and report any issues to the oncologist
• Maintain detailed records of treatment plans progress and outcomes
• Educate patients on treatment procedures and possible side effects

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
• Current certification as a Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent certification.
• Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment
• Knowledge of anatomy physiology and medical terminology
• Experience in acute care or critical care settings preferred
• Familiarity with radiation therapy modalities including mammography and CT scans
